My latest painting is of the Monte Bianco, as seen in all its' splendour from the Ruta Statale SS26. This is the winding road that takes you from Aosta to Coumayeur and the Mont Blanc Tunnel. This painting is from just after passing Morgex, before getting into Pré-Saint-Didier. It is based on a picture I took on October 2022. I take pictures of the Monte Bianco every time we pass by. (You will be glad to know that my husband is doing the driving!🤪). Here you can see a massive rock wall on the side, with a net to catch the small rocks falling into the road. The autumn colours in the Alps are amazing, as they are everywhere, but mixed with the rugged landscape, makes these views very special.
