This is a birthday present/commission for a friend, of the starting of the ski day in Pila. This reflects a memory of when we all started skiing together. I have placed her family and my two boys on the front of the painting, and wanted to recreate the top base area of the resort, where we always went to have some coffee and croissants before leaving the boys to take their ski lessons.
This is a painting of one loved moment, and is the classical ski commission of a memory you cherish.
I've used soft pastels, pan pastels, pastel pencils and charcoal on La Carte Pastel.
