An original watercolour diptych painted across two facing pages of my A3 travel sketchbook, capturing the view over Chaumont and the surrounding countryside.
The composition looks across the rooftops and historic buildings of Chaumont, with the landscape opening out beyond the village towards the distant countryside. Painted directly in my sketchbook, it retains the immediacy and spontaneity of working on location.
The two pages were conceived and painted as one continuous composition and are sold together as a diptych.

A great painting for any room in the house, particularly for anyone who knows and loves Blackheath, has lived in Southeast London, or has memories connected with this very special corner of London. Can you imagine it on your walls?
