My version of the Catena di Monte Bianco, now from the Aiguille du Blatière, passing through the Aiguille des Drus, Aiguille Verte and Dente del Gigante. This is as seen from Skyway Monte Bianco in Punta Helbronner, the highest platform you get from the Italian side of the Mont Blanc (Monte Bianco) to see 360o around.
I did the painting with soft pastels, pan pastels and charcoal. I did an underpainting in part of the paper with goache. I used a Pastelmat paper that has not as much teeth as La Carte Pastel that I normally use, that is why I've used the underpainting.
Unframed 100 cm x 35 cm (approximately 40" x 14")
Framed in a distressed wooden frame.
