One new painting for my "Mountain Tops Collection". This is Mont Maudit, seen from the Italian side, specifically, from the top platform of Skyway Monte Bianco. Mont Maudit is right of the Monte Bianco, part of the Mont Blanc Massif, measuring 4,465m. It's name in French is "Cursed Mountain". It has killed many climbers, notoriously in 2012, with nine people killed, including some Brits, Swiss, Germans and Spanish, in what it was considered the deadliest event in the last years, in a day when there was no avalanche prevision.
I love the ruggedness of the mountain, as it stands in the landscape. In the French side, it has a like a 'dollop' of snow on the top- this is how you see it in Chamonix. In the Italian side, however, it looks much more rugged with those colouirs coming down the mountain.
