When I am not in the mountains, I need to paint something else, when I am painting plein air.
This is a painting I did in my local park, Manor House Gardens, in Lee, SE London, on a day when the sun finally came out, after this whole month of grey skies. It was lovely how it reflected in the autumn foliage and the shadows it created.
This painting will be of a series of plein air paintings done in my neighbourhood coming up.
I made this painting with soft pastels and charcoal on Clairefontaine Pastelmat.
