Valle de Las Leñas is one of the places I hold dear in my heart. I used to go a lot when growing up there, plus I've worked for some seasons and put together the South American Extreme Skiing and Snowboard Championships, and some Disabled Skiing Camps there over the years.
The Cerro Las Leñas, with its triangular shape, it is the mark that tells you, you are high up in the Mendoza Andes of Argentina. This is definitely a resort you want to go if you love skiing off-piste, as the quantity of off-piste skiing you can get just from the top of the lifts is immense.
I wanted to recreate the view of Cerro Las Leñas and all the mountain chain you see from the resort. This is based on a photo of my friend Diego Lozano of Spanish Peak Productions (@spanishpeakproductions).
I love the line of pine trees, that were planted when I've started going there, and now they look like they belong. The tree-line is below the base area of 2230m in the Andes.
