This piece was created as part of a study during Alain Picard’s Landscape Week, where I explored the play of light and reflection at sunrise. Using soft pastels, I captured the glowing warmth of the rising sun as it bursts over the horizon, spilling golden light across the tranquil surface of the water. The deep blues, purples, and turquoise tones contrast beautifully with the fiery oranges and yellows, evoking both serenity and energy.
