This piece is a watercolour study inspired by a painting I once found online, whose author is unknown to me but whose energy and atmosphere always captivated me. I used it as a reference to continue learning and practising watercolour techniques, focusing on movement, light, and tonal contrast.
The scene captures a rider chasing a calf through fresh snow, with a rustic barn glowing warmly in the background. Through quick brushwork and fluid washes, I tried to express both the dynamism of the chase and the tranquil stillness of winter light.
