I love the shape of this perfect triangle that is the Becca di Nona. It is called like that, as at noon you get half of the mountain illuminated and one in shadows, at least when we drive from Morgex towards Aosta. The Becca di Nona is one of the mountains you see up and close when you go to Pila.
As with my husband, we do not ski every day, (we leave that to the boys), we like taking our dog Ozzy on some snowshoe walks on the mountain. This is coming down from the altitude of Grimondet to the top parking lot by the ski school. The sensation of peace and exhilaration of being in nature is great in this part, as, even though you are next to the ski area, here all is very peaceful, just crossing fellow pedestrians and dogs every so often.
