This diptych, created from two panels of 30 × 40 cm each (total 30 × 80 cm), captures the breathtaking view from my window at Hotel Almhof in the Dolomites of Sesto. The soaring peaks of the Drei Zinnen rise in sculptural majesty, while clouds drift and cling to the mountainsides, turning the scene into a living postcard of shifting light and atmosphere.
Working with soft pastels on La Carte Pastel, I aimed to translate not just the grandeur of the mountains but the intimate wonder of watching them from a quiet room, where every moment the clouds reshape the view. It is both a study of place and a meditation on the fleeting beauty of mountain weather.
