This painting captures one of my most familiar and cherished views in Morgex, in the heart of the Aosta Valley.
Viale della Rimembranza depicts a traditional alpine house set against the quiet, constant presence of Mont Crammont, a mountain that frames daily life here with understated strength.
It is a scene I see almost every day when I am at home in Morgex — walking back with my dog after a macchiatone at Pillier Central, following the gentle rhythm of the village and the changing light on stone, wood, and snow. The view never feels ordinary to me; it is grounding, familiar, and deeply reassuring.
