A new painting by me on soft pastels of my black labrador dog Ozzy standing on the last portion of the path called 'Tsantamerla', this is the path or sentiero number 5, that goes from Villair di Morgex to La Clusaz di La Salle. All is in the Valdigne (Valley of the Mont Blanc) in the Aosta valley.
This is a lovely path between the vineyards of altitude and in summer, near cattle with cowbells. Here you are looking towards the Monte Bianco (the blue mountain in the middle), that is the highest in Occidental Europe at 4810m.
I made it with soft pastels and pan pastels plus pastel pencils. That gives it the vibrant colours and texture, and it is why I prefer to sell them already framed, to prevent smudging (even if fixed!)
