Fête d'Entrèves - 13 August in Entrèves, Courmayeur, Valdigne Mont Blanc

I participated this last Sunday on the Fête d'Entrèves, in the hamlet of Courmayeur just by Skyway Monte Bianco and the funicular to Courmayeur Val Veny's side. This hamlet is very quaint and where everybody wants to be when coming to Courmayeur, for its amazing views of the Monte Bianco, Dente del Gigante and Grandes Jorasses. 

As I could not come to Italy with all my stand paraphernalia, I needed to improvise at the event. Got some boxes where to put my prints, and took one painting only, that left to exhibit at the Hotel La Grange in Entrèves. 

Even though it was super tiring, as I needed to be by 7 AM in Entrèves to find a parking, and came back home by 7 PM, it was a good event. Lots of people came by, I've met some nice interesting people, and sold some prints and lots of greeting cards! 

I have to thank my friend Gemma, as without her, I would have struggled. My husband needed to go back to work to London, and I am in charge of driving, which I never was that good to start with (bah, not interested), and driving in curves, with Italians tailing you, is not the thing I prefer doing! Plus ,when I was in Entrèves by 7 AM, there was no parking spot! Thankfully Gemma arrived early and she gave me her spot! She also helped me setting up, coming to give me a break for lunch and back to help me break down all! I do not know what I could have done if not! 

It was nice hearing the music of the badochys, seeing fellow exhibitors (also my friend Claudine was nearby), and taking it all, all in all, a new experience for me! I am glad that this is over and now I can dedicate to enjoy a couple of weeks in the mountains, without thinking of events!
